lessons learned re: my prejudices and peccadiloes
- awful vocals kill a track dead. (the case for purely instrumental music.)

- turns out the hipster trash (basically any new band being hyped by p4k) i was deliberately ignoring was largely pretty annoying. feel justified.
- a few gems were uncovered, so it wasn’t a total exercise in bitter curmudgeonism
